News: Maid Sama,Tegami Bachi, and BakaTest

First off, with less a month left, Kaichou wa Maid-Sama has been announced to air this spring at APRIL 1st,  1.55 am [TBS] (+9 GMT). It has been announced at their SITE. Also, it was announced in KWMS chapter 47 in LaLa’s February issue.

This anime is really what I am anticipating the most this spring. I have high hopes on this, even though I am not 100% satisfied with what JC Staff has been showing. The cast is okay, Niche voicing Misaki, why not?! The character design, well, it’s more improved compared to the first picture they’ve shown, but I think the characters’ complexion is a bit to dark to what I was expecting and Sakura’s hair… I have always thought she was blonde for some reasons.  Anyways, I hope Aoi can be as loved as Hideyoshi 😉 *hinthint*

Next news is about Tegami Bachi (Letter Bee). On the last day of February, ANN has posted the news about it having a second season that will be shown in Autumn 2o10. Posted on MAL, is the source [scan on a private blog], if your interested.

So from 13 episode it became 26, and now a second SEASON! Back then, I thought it would have been better if it stuck with 1 cour since after the half of the entire series… again, FILLERS! Damn, I hate fillers (although some fillers were acceptable). Also at some point, Studio Pierrot has glitches on their animation, like the character design seems a bit off (becoming lazy?). So this explains why they butcher the later half of the series with fillers. With 5 episodes left for this season, I’m assuming that it will have an anime original ending (just hoping it would be decent and will show us what to expect for the 2nd season). I also hope that in the 2nd season they’ll minimize the fillers since the manga will have more material to be animated by the time it will air for the second season. Hell yeah, Gauche being found and Niche’s real identity is a must in the 2nd season!

Ack. I really don’t care about the license since I know I am not allowed to buy through the net [and Paypal hates this country] and I don’t like DUBS and I don’t also like streaming (as if I can stream @Funi and @crunchy here).  The only problem in licensing anime (especially if it’s on-going) is that fansubbers tend to DROP it and kill  download links >_>. Moreover the last statement which most are aware, I CAN’T ACCEPT THEIR TITLE TRANSLATION! The hell up with Baka and Test -Summon the Beasts-? Baka isn’t even translated and there’s no way that Shokanjuu == Summon the Beasts. Seriously, I thought a company like you can do much better since I assume you pay TRANSLATORS, unlike free fansubs, to have a decent translations for the series you release! LOLOLOL, even though I hear lotsa drama regarding gg’s liberal subs at least Idiots, Test and Summon Beings makes much more sense and way more accurate than Baka and Test -whatever-.
